Short bio for introductions
This short biography of Scott is helpful in introducing him and in opening discussions regarding some of his qualities as a strong leader with a deep love of his home state.
Scott Kleeb is a fourth generation Nebraskan with deep roots in three great traditions of the state: agriculture, patriotism and public service. As a rancher and bull-rider, Scott has a deep personal understanding and commitment to agriculture as a Nebraska way of life that must be preserved and cherished. In addition to his hands-on experience, Scott focused his doctoral dissertation for Yale University on the history of American cattle ranching in rural economies across America, west of the Mississippi.
Scott wants to serve Nebraska because he has seen firsthand the impact of consolidation on farms and ranches across the Great Plains, causing vibrant rural communities to lose businesses, families and - in some cases - their very identity. He wants to fight to ensure that issues critical to the future of this state get the attention they deserve in Washington, including investment in schools, access to health care, lower energy costs, upgraded communications systems, diversified agriculture, expansion of the small business base, and respect and benefits that our nation's veterans deserve. In short, Scott Kleeb wants to bring a greater understanding of rural America's unique needs and strengths to Congress on behalf of Nebraska's third district.
