Issues overview :

For too long, the policies emanating from Washington have avoided tackling tough challenges in health care, economic development, job security, energy and education. We need a strategy to bring prosperity to all of Western and Central Nebraska, and we need federal government to be a full partner in this effort. We must move aggressively to stem the tide of out-migration from our state by creating opportunities. We must empower families and young people so that they can live prosperous, fulfilling lives right here in Nebraska.

All our cities and towns must be involved in the creation of this strategy. We cannot afford to move forward based on a few big ideas from special interests that ignore the complexity of challenges facing our region. We need a detailed, comprehensive strategy that harvests the intelligence, energy and industry of all Nebraskans.
