Ice Cream in Clay Center

At about 4 p.m. on July 4, Scott stopped in Clay Center to taste some delicious homemade ice cream at an ice cream social.

While bluegrass music played through a couple of speakers in the city park, Clay Center citizens gathered to sample ice cream and converse at picnic tables.

Before grabbing some mint ice cream, Scott sat down at each table to talk about his candidacy. Topics at the various tables swung from water rights to great sites for fireworks shows later in the day.

Among others, Scott met with Betty Tideman, the chairperson for the event, and Maureen Kuehler, who was thrilled to meet Scott for the first time.
