Scott participates in the Swedish Days Parade

On Saturday, June 17, Scott traveled to Holdrege to participate in the 2006 Swedish Days Parade. Approximately 3,000 people flocked to Holdrege on Saturday to partake in the Swedish Days festivities.

While children reached out for candy thrown by Kleeb for Congress staffers, Scott reached out to the citizens of the Holdrege area.

Marching alongside Phelps County Democrats, Scott weaved across the parade route, shaking the hands of spectators. With all the running, one could say that this literally became a candidate’s race for Congress.

Beth Rager, vice-chair of the Phelps County Democrats, and her cousin, Pam, led the Kleeb for Congress processional with the campaign banner, while Brian Osborne, chair of the Phelps County Democrats, followed Scott in a car decked-out with Kleeb for Congress signs.

If you missed the chance to see Scott at the Holdrege parade, don’t fret. Swedish Days is only one of the many festivals that Scott will travel to this year. Watch for Scott at a parade near you.
