Riding and Running in Burwell

Hot weather and the scorching sun didn’t prevent Scott from traveling to Burwell on Saturday, July 29, for two parades and a pancake feed.

Kicking-off the day on Saturday was the Burwell’s general parade. During the march across Burwell, Scott made his best effort to greet everyone watching the parade. At the end of the parade route, Scott stopped to visit with other participants in the processional around Burwell.

After the parade, Scott stopped at the Parish Center for the pancake feed. Kleeb for Congress super-supporter, Dan Morgan, introduced Scott to individuals at the event, while staffers ate pancakes and conversed with Burwell citizens.

Following the pancake feed was Nebraska’s Big Rodeo. This year marked the 81st annual occurrence of the rodeo in Burwell. Scott participated in the Grand Entrance for the rodeo by riding horseback in front of the grandstands. After his horse ride, Scott stayed to watch the rodeo and visit with citizens of the Burwell-area.
